8) Scene Three

Dali:Genius!
Genius!

Chorus: Genius, it is not so grand.
One must take destiny by the hand
And work, and waylay
What one's troubles will say
Are the obstacles stopping one's genius from winning
The battle against those who never stop grinning.

[He scowls at the obsequious hotel manager, signing the registration form he is being offered]

Chorus: Genius we worship, it's our highest good!
Until we met Genius, we knew where we stood--
We were businessmen, journalists, actors and such,
But never, oh, never had we been in touch
With the source of all Wisdom in matters divine
Such as painting and sculpture and just the right wine...
